SciQuest Names Software Development and High-Tech Solutions Leader Charles Irek to Vice President, Technology

SciQuest, Inc., SQI +0.11% a provider of on-demand source-to-settle solutions, today announced the appointment of Charles Irek to vice president, technology. Irek brings more than 20 years of experience in the software development industry to SciQuest. He has successfully led multiple early-stage software firms to commercial offerings and revenue capture, and has also managed technology development at IBM and GlaxoSmithKline. In his role as vice president of technology, Irek will be responsible for all development and infrastructure resources behind SciQuest's suite of collaborative, SaaS-based source-to-settle solutions.

Before joining SciQuest, Irek was the CTO and VP of Software Engineering for Diagnosoft Inc., a point-of-care healthcare analytics company. While at Diagnosoft, he was able to expand the company's product offering by more than 300 percent while building essential vendor relationships and forming strategic partnerships with vital advisors. He also served as vice president of software engineering for Proventys, Inc. where he was responsible for building and leading the company's software development capability.
